This week we had a Fit Cookies recipe with only 3 ingredients here on the blog. Today we keep on the track of super simple and super healthy recipes with this delicious dessert made with only two simple ingredients: Baked Banana with GRANOLA!
This is a great dessert to make when you have surprise guests at home, or when you’re out of time, your pantry is empty and all you can think of is having something sweet...You just need two ingredients: a banana and some Granola.
Ideally bananas should be ripe (with brown spots on the peel) so they are sweeter and more nutritious. But in a moment of despair (if you only have bananas without spots) you can use them anyway, they should do the job. Then, just cut them lengthwise, wrap them in aluminum foil (so they bake inside, keeping all their juices), put it in the oven for about 20 minutes and voila!
Then, you just need to unwrap the baked bananas (be careful as they come out of the oven really hot), separate the two halves, and garnish them. I used Just GRANOLA - Cacao & Banana, which combines perfectly, but other granolas and other toppings work well too. You can also prepare a chocolate sauce (recipe here) to spread over the banana and sprinkle it with some seeds.
It's amazing what you can do with only two simple ingredients! Who said eating healthy is complicated and boring?...

1 large ripe banana
4 tablespoons Just GRANOLA - Cacao & Banana (or other flavors)
(Yes, that’s it!)
1. Preheat the oven to 360 F/180 °C.
2. Remove the stalk from the banana and cut it lengthwise into two halves. Wrap it loosely in aluminum foil and put it in the oven for about 20 minutes. (If you do not want to use aluminum foil I believe parchment paper will also work.)
3. When the banana peel is almost entirely black and the banana is caramelized inside, remove from the oven. Unwrap when possible (be careful, it will be very hot) and separate the two halves.
4. Decorate each half with 2 tablespoons of Just GRANOLA - Cacao & Banana or other toppings to taste. Serve hot or cold!
